The environmental project

For this project Peru peru volunteering works together with Ms. M Rosa Gomez Lazo.
The project consists in forestation and reforestation of the Junin region in Peru. Also we want to inform students from primary and secondary schools about environment.
We want to make them aware about the importance of environment, trees, water, ...

The project is located in Huancayo (the central highlands of Peru). The volunteer will work together with Ms. Lazo Rosa Gomez. You will go together to schools and organize environment related classes. Together with the children you will also be planting trees.

We seek someone who has an extensive knowledge of the environment. Someone who can transfer his knowledge in a fun, enthusiastic and creative way. Of course it is important that you have a good basic knowledge of Spanish.

Duration of the project:
• You can participate in this project for one month or more. But the longer you can stay the better. The time is mutually agreed, you can come all year long.

Cost:
• The price is 950 Nuevos soles the first month,
and from the second month 750 Nuevos soles. 

• This is for your housing and food, the price also includes administration costs and coordination during your stay in Peru. From the second month on you just pay your housing and food and coordinations.

• You can choose to stay in the guest house sharing with a Peruvian family and other volunteers or you can choose to stay with a host family. You will get three meals a day.

•You can choose a pick up from the airport or come on your own to Huancayo
The pick up will cost 250 soles. 

Included: 
• Person waiting for you in the airport
• Taxi to the hotel
• Overnight at the hotel (a bed in a dormitory with shared bathroom)
• Taxi to the bus station
• Bus to Huancayo
• Person waiting for you at the bus station in Huancayo. 

If you choose to travel on your own to Huancayo, someone will be picking you up at the bus station in Huancayo and will bring you to your homestay.

The pickup is paid directly to the person who picks you up. The rest you pay in Soles, the local currency, at arrival in Huancayo.
